“Judy!” I heard a high voice scream from across the room. I turned and spotted Rachel sitting at a table on the far side of the cafeteria. She was with Arietta and a few faces I couldn’t put a name to. I gave a dry smile before approaching them.
“Hey.” I said, in a nearly in-audible voice. Rachel smiled and patted the seat next to her. I sat down and set my bag on the table. Arietta, who sat at the very end of the table rolled her eyes and quickly got up to throw her tray away.
“Where have you been, kid? Rachel said, handing me an apple. I grabbed it and took a massive bite. “I missed you.”
I gazed up at her while thinking of something to say. I couldn’t tell her that I was missing school to be with Roman, especially considering his new-found reputation. We agreed to keep our relationship under wraps until graduation, but with June so far away it was hard to stay away. There was nothing I wanted more than to embrace him in the halls and prove to everyone that there was more to this mysterious boy.
“I was at home sick.” I glanced around the table, and almost every face went blank. I turned to Rachel who was looking extremely pale. “Am I missing something?” Rachel grabbed me by the arm and dragged me to an isolated corner in the cafeteria. She repeatedly glanced over her shoulder to make sure nobody was listening. “No one can hear us. Just tell me.” She let out a deep sigh.
“I honestly thought this would blow over by the time you got back, but people are still talking.” My brows furrowed.
    “Talking about what?”
She slowly shook her head in disgust.
“You and Roman. People are saying he got you pregnant.” My mouth fell open. “And that’s not the worst part. They are also saying that you two fled town to keep it from your parents.”
I scanned the cafeteria as a cold sweat broke out on my forehead.
“Wh-who told you this?” I stuttered.
“Arietta. She told me she overheard a group of guys talking about it in the hallway. I didn’t believe it at first, but after you were gone for three days I wasn’t sure what to think.” I brought a finger to my lips.
“I wondered why everyone was looking at me so strange.” My eyes widened. “Rachel, you don’t think people actually believe this do you?”
    She shrugged.
“You and Roman were both gone for three days. But now that you’re back and he’s still gone, maybe people will forget about it.” I leaned against the wall and crossed my arms.
“Yeah, right. The people at this school never let anything go.”

I’ve been told by people before that I have a “boring” personality. I don’t think I’m boring because people who are close to me like me, and when I talk to them they think I have humor. I think that’s because I feel comfortable with them. But people who don’t really know me or I don’t feel comfortable with, say I’m cold or cold.

So how can I be me like I’m with the people I feel comfortable with?
I took speech class in high school, and I hated it.

So basically. i am the most opinionated, know-it-all, stubborn girl i know. I have tried like hell to change. And gone to extreme lengths where i am isolating myself from everyone. I fall straight back into the trap and become the person i once was. I need to know how i can change. I am recently trying out a technique where i put an elastic band on my wrist and everytime i put my opinion in or try to correct someone where its not wanted i snap it on my wrist. i am yet to find out if this is productive. But i am also very low on self-esteem and my body image. i start a diet tomorrow. i am 5″ 5 and weigh 140lbs. i wear a tonne of make-up but i am also finding i am under a lot of pressure at school which is extremely depressing and i find myself back to square one but with even less self esteem than before. HELP! and could something be wrong with me? i cant talk to my parents they wouldnt understand and just make me feel worse than i ever did before..

Is it even worth trying? Does it make you better at singing? I wasn’t sure what they even did. Do singers have lessons? or do you just have to be born with it
